You’re all going to be sick of all my Christmas posts, but this time of year is just so darn wonderful that I can’t help myself! So, please bear with me for the next few weeks.
Last night, just as with every Thursday, was date night. But, it wasn’t just ANY kind of date night. It was “Holidate” night! That’s right, Adam and I decided to fill ourselves, and our date, with the holiday spirit. We had originally planned to grab dinner then head to the Winter Park ice rink. We thought it would be a great way to have some festive fun with each other. Unfortunately, however, Adam had to stay at work super late, so we (still) grabbed dinner and then cozied up to National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation on the couch. That movie is STILL hilarious and still a sure fire way to get me in the Christmas Spirit. Add to that, all of our Christmas lights twinkling throughout the house and we had ourselves the perfect Holidate Night!
I think this may just have to become a tradition, along with a few other holidate night ideas, including the ice skating that we didn’t get to do last night. Below are a few things that can be enjoyed in the Orlando area, but I’m sure no matter where you live, there’s a holidate night just waiting to be had!
Tour the Harry P. Leu House at Leu Gardens and soak up the 11 rooms of Christmas goodness.
Take a break from the Florida heat and humidity at the Gaylord Palms annual ICE exhibit. Bright blue parka included!
And, of course, you can’t miss out on Mickey’s Christmas Party when you live so close. Disney does everything better and Christmas is no exception. Just look at all those lights!
