Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!! Our hope here at Nourish is that this would be a place where you can come for inspiration; a place where you can nourish not only a hungry belly, but a hungry soul as well. We hope this is a place where that inspiration gives way to action.  So, today, we pray for those things to be true.

The following scripture is what I consider my “life verse.”  No matter what my circumstances, I always know I can come back to it for solid, in-your-face, beautiful truth.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” -Philippians 4:4-9

We pray that today would be a day of supreme gratitude, that thanksgiving would give way to joy and peace, and that every day we would be reminded that there is truly SO much to be thankful for!
