That’s right, Cara and I are training for a sprint triathlon! We have 9 weeks to prepare for a .5 mile swim, 12 mile bike ride, and 3.1 mile run. We got a head-start on the swimming back in January in an effort to prevent drowning by exhaustion/asphyxiation/sheer terror. Now, a good 6 weeks in, I’m happy to report that things in the pool are going, well, just swimmingly! Thanks to our coach, and tri teammate Lori, we’ve made great progress and are well on our way to becoming fish.
If you’re in the Orlando area, come join us on May 8, 2011 for the Danskin Triathlon! Whether you want to join in the race yourself or just come cheer all of us women on, it promises to be an exciting morning!
